          ABOUT THE AUTHOR

As a graduate mechanical engineer, M. Don Schorn combined his interests in plastics and cars by working for several thermoplastics molding companies supplying component parts to the automotive industry.  During that time he continued his professional education with curriculums in Plastics Technology and various managerial programs.  Mr. Schorn's extensive manufacturing and design experience led to the development of new processing techniques and numerous patentable innovations during his career.

Utilizing his plastics and manufacturing expertise, Mr. Schorn later joined a Detroit manufacturers' representative firm as a product development specialist.  Supplying his engineering input while working with various OEM automotive divisions, he assisted in finalizing product specifications and part designs, ISO quality criterion and certifications, along with direct marketing and sales efforts.

After a successful professional career spanning more than 27 years, he retired early at the beginning of 1995 to pursue a second career in writing.  Since then, M. Don Schorn has studied cosmology, paleoanthropology, archaeology, and geology, along with an expansive analysis of ancient records and sacred texts.  Those studies provided the extensive factual background that led to the completion of six manuscripts as of this date.  Five of those books are non-fiction, which include the continuing series collectively known as the Journals of the Ancient Ones, which introduced his unique Elder Gods theory.  His other non-fiction work, Reincarnation…Stepping Stones of Life, is an enlightening examination of the reincarnation concept and its implementation as a way of life.

Mr. Schorn's only fictional work, Emerging Dawn, is an intriguing novel of modern exploration, discovery, and ancient revelations connected with the December 21, 2012 Mayan End-Time prophecy.
